MOMENTS WHEN THE FAÇADE OF PERSONALITY SEEN BY THE OUTSIDE WORLD REVEALS ITS CRACKS
Design by Jesse BenjaminBesides performing three People Crackers at the Berlin English Theatre’s first Expat Expo in 2013 (by now, the festival takes place annually), I performed the complete show once in English, and once in German. Only the latter was recorded. The venue with the grand piano, a dramatic mural, a large gilt mirror and clever lighting was the Landfall café in Berlin’s Friedrichshagen district. Unfortunately, it closed shortly thereafter. Here are two of the stories in their German renderings, as well as the music that I played around them. (Moving Insurance can be read in English.)
